Lakeside Park Daily Pass
Metered parking is in effect daily from May through October each year. Parking is enforced by the Big Lake Police Department and all proceeds go toward maintaining the park. Below are instructions on how to use the Lakeside Park parking meter to purchase daily passes:

  1. Park your vehicle
  2. Enter your parking stall number
  3. Deposit payment for applicable parking type (only debit-credit cards accepted)
    1. Vehicle: $5 per day
    2. Vehicle & Trailer: $15 per day
  4. Keep your receipt
    1. Seasonal Pass holders with a displayed Seasonal Pass sticker do not need to enter their parking stall at the parking meter. Simply park and play! 

**If you receive a citation that you disagree with, please submit a Parking Ticket Appeal Form to the Big Lake Police Department.

Vehicle Only: $10 (city resident)
Vehicle & Trailer: $20 (city resident)
Vehicle Only: $30 (non-resident)
Vehicle & Trailer: $40 (non-resident)

*City Resident: person(s) living within City limits
*Non-Resident: person(s) living outside City limits
Seasonal passes are available for purchase at City Hall, Lake Liquors or by following the instructions below:

Seasonal Pass Application and Payment Instructions:
Click Here for the Lakeside Park Seasonal Pass Application. After the application is filled out, you can either:
  • Email to Julie Rathmanner or Deb Wegeleben and pay online by clicking the "make a payment" button at bottom of page (be sure to choose the corresponding payment type for Park Passes: #'s 10-13);
  • Mail to City Hall: 160 Lake St N, Big Lake, MN 55309, and pay by sending a check or money order with application;
  • Or bring to City Hall during regular office hours. 

Parking/Driving Rules & Regulations 
Vehicles, including motorcycles, must park/drive only in the designated areas. Beware of restricted parking areas (handicapped, no parking, etc.). Watch for children. 

Boating
Subd. 2 Direction. All watercraft exceeding a slow-no wake speed shall travel in a counterclockwise direction. Subd. 3 Speed. A. The maximum speed limit of watercraft shall be forty miles per hour (40 m.p.h.) at all times except with the exception of those areas and times listed in Sections 560.02, Subd.3.B. and 560.02, Subd.3.C. B. Maximum speed limit of watercraft shall be fifteen miles per hour (15 m.p.h.) sunset to sunrise all year. C. A slow-no wake speed shall be maintained in the area extending one hundred fifty feet (150’) from the shore. Watercraft launching or landing water skiers by the most direct route to open water shall be exempt from this provision.

Swimming
No lifeguard on duty. Swim only in the buoyed area.
